Establishing and sustaining a business is difficult. When a situation like the COVID-19 pandemic hits not only the country but the global economy, small and medium businesses are the most affected. More than 37,000 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, the Government has always put efforts and initiatives for the people to bounce back and start making businesses. These efforts and initiatives include new policies, funding, loans, training to develop skills, and others.
We can consider that now, Malaysia’s economy is slowly recovering but the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is still extending far down. From the perspective of the SMEs, the future of establishing and sustaining business in the long run is still uncertain.
With continuous efforts and initiatives from the Government and the spirit of the people to improve life socially and economically, the SMEs will bounce back in establishing and sustaining successful businesses soon. Fingers crossed.
